Boss’s Day is celebrated on the 16th of October every year.

The idea of the Boss Day started in the year 1958. Patricia Bay Haroski who is a worker of the State Farm Insurance Company which is located in Deerfield Illinois moved to register the day.

Her action was to show appreciation for all bosses including the boss of State Farm Insurance.

Additionally, the day meant improvement between the supervisors and employees.

The Governor of Illinois Otto Kerner officially proclaimed the day in 1962.

The celebration is spreading internationally with countries like India, Lithuania, Australia, and South Africa are observing the day.

The holiday celebrates bosses who employ workers.

We celebrate the day to honor employees and improve better means of relationship between workers and bosses.

The day means respect and appreciation to our bosses. It is a thanksgiving day towards the kindness and fairness of the employers to juniors’ staffs.

The Boss’s day comes every 16th day of October, but when it falls on a weekend, it is pushed to the next closest working day.

The holiday is a local holiday since it is only registered with State Day of Commerce.

The workers can buy a management book or other fun books for the Boss. If the employees have a particular author, they buy and bring it during the Bosses day celebration.
